Metro Green, LLC is a custom home builder serving the close-in communities of Falls Church, McLean, and Arlington. We execute architect-led residential design with exceptional craftsmanship and advanced energy-efficient construction. Since completing our first LEED Platinum home in 2008, Metro Green has delivered high-performance residences certified through PHIUS, Zero Energy Ready Home, ENERGY STAR®, and Arlington Green Home Choice. Each project reflects a measured balance of design, constructability, and long-term resilience.
Metro Green is a Virginia Class A licensed contractor led by founder Patty Shields, LEED AP. A dedicated in-house team of career craftsmen—including master carpenters and a master electrician—self-perform critical phases of construction, maintaining direct control over quality and detail. This structure allows us to execute complex architecture with consistency, precision, and accountability.
